Opti-color Automatic Viscosity Control System

Opti-color Rotational Sensor

By using the rotational dip sensor, accurate viscosity measurement and control can be achieved.
It can be directly mounted on the lid of the main tank.
This allows for flexible usage and easy maintenance or cleaning.
As a result, the system provides high-quality measurement, long-term durability, and safe operation.

Features

  • Rotational dip sensor for use in the main tank or via bypass installation
  • Easy installation, accurate operation, and simple cleaning and maintenance
  • Motor enclosed in a specially designed explosion-proof housing for precise measurement
  • Sensor tube made of stainless steel with customizable length to protect the rotational sensor

Opti-color Viscosity Sensor

There are two types of rotational dip sensors with rotating shafts: high-speed and variable-speed. The high-speed type is suitable for low to medium viscosity, while the variable-speed type handles high viscosities from 1,000 to 300,000 cps.
Each type is available in both dip and inline installation styles.

Features

  • Sensor head, measuring shaft, disc, and tube
  • Tubes protected by stainless steel plates, 350mm (up to 750mm available)
  • Discs compatible with viscosities up to approximately 800 mPas are selectable
  • Compliant with ATEX: Ex Ⅱ 2 G EEx de ⅡB T6

Opti-color Inline Sensor

MTD and IKA sensors consist of a patented clutch system that magnetically connects through a metal flange to the fluid to be measured. This unique technology enables installation and attachment in various locations.
Depending on the sensor type, measurements can be taken in pressurized pipelines or tanks (MTD/MF, etc.), or dipped into pressurized pots (MTD/MT) or open trays/tanks (IKA/WB, etc.).

Opti-color Viscosity Control Unit

The viscosity control unit supports both rotary and falling ball sensors.
Some units can be used as standalone systems, while others can connect to the Opti-color 4000 software.
Additionally, other units allow centralized control of 2, 3, or up to 8 sensors via a single central display.

Multi_VC Viscosity Control

The Multi_VC system offers optimal functions for viscosity detection and measurement during production, tailored to your needs.
Measurement values are precisely displayed and controlled in their ideal state.
This system includes extensive functions for individual settings and adjustments, along with various scale data and editing features.
To integrate with more data, the unit comes with a serial interface, printer connection, and the oc-net function for linking with other Opti-color controllers.
Control channels for temperature and pH value can also be added to the system.

Junior VC Viscosity Control

The Junior VC system includes fully digital functions for viscosity measurement and control, along with other selected features.
When installing individual systems at each process workstation, a wall-mounting box is available.
Optional features include drop valve time control, a second valve as an outlet, and a serial interface for oc-4000 connectivity.

Junior US MultiContact

The Junior US-MultiContact system is designed for connecting and controlling rotary sensors.
Optional additions include a 3-point control channel for temperature and serial interface for oc-4000.
A solvent ratio control function is also available as an option, allowing installation of up to four drop valves for multiple solvents with individual time parameters.

Junior Analog Control

The analog unit features an easy-to-use potentiometer and a display unit that shows actual viscosity in +/- values.
It includes a standard outlet for automatic solvent dispensing.
This is a simple and cost-effective model.

ViscoStar Falling Ball Sensor

Opti-color’s falling ball sensors offer essential solutions for processes such as printing and coating.
There are several types of falling ball sensors from Opti-color, all capable of measuring viscosity values with high precision.
The system includes a function to adjust the start of measurement to avoid inaccuracies caused by turbulence in the measuring medium (adjustable delay time).
The integrated air-operated valve ensures high reliability, easy maintenance and installation, and durability across the entire system. Its compact design allows for simple mounting.
Additional external valves can be connected for mixing and dispensing various solvents during operation.

Features

  • 1/2-inch connections for ink inlet, return, or solvent supply
  • Integrated high-reliability diaphragm valve
  • Valve controls B1 and B2 located on the front of the sensor
  • ATEX compliant: Ⅱ 2G ⅡA X, including protective cover
