For Packaging

Features

Processing System for Liquid Packaging Blanks and Roll Materials

At speeds of up to 600 m/min and a maximum working width of 1,700 mm, it performs register-accurate creasing, perforating, and punching inline. Waste from punching is safely removed.

Processing System for Liquid Packaging Blanks and Roll Materials

At processing speeds of up to 350 m/min, it performs precisely aligned embossing, creasing, punching, cutting, and stacking, either inline (connected directly to the printing press) or offline (as a standalone system).

For Labels

Features

Cutting and Stacking of Nested Products

Cutting and stacking blanks with web widths up to 1,000 mm and format lengths up to 1,220 mm at processing speeds up to 100 m/min is no problem.
Optional additional stations are available for needling, creasing, and embossing. The Varicut platform is ideal for small-lot production and quick format changes.

Perfectly Punched and Cut Products

For producing single rolls of film, foil, paper, or cardboard. Equipped with dual rewinders.
Standard working widths: 260 to 520 mm (custom sizes available on request).
Machine speed: 150 m/min. Motor-driven material unwind, electronically controlled.
Web edge control with integrated splice table. Base unit accommodates product-specific punching inserts.
Slitting station with pneumatically operated knife holders for web separation, minimum web width: 20 mm.

Advantages

The upgradable software provides a reliable and intuitive user interface.

  1. Cutting Technology
  2. Lengthwise, Crosswise, Contour, Kiss Cut, Perforation

We develop, manufacture, and supply rotary tools, modules, and complete production lines in a variety of designs. Cutting and perforating can be performed by machines using cutting cylinders, anvil cylinders, rotary knives, or industrial blades.
The material combinations for cutting are specially adapted to the customer's application. Rotary cutting typically enables production speeds of up to 600 m/min.

  3. Punching Technology
  4. Punching Technology

Rotary punching is used when the removed parts are too small for conventional cutting or are difficult to extract. Rotary punching solutions are used both as standalone offline solutions and inline within processing systems, suitable for both laboratory work and industrial production. Traditional workflows (unwinding, punching, cutting, rewinding) can be maintained with various materials. Burr-free processing is possible with material widths up to 2,000 mm and speeds up to 800 m/min. Even ultra-fine punches with a hole diameter of 0.5 mm allow safe chip removal via the anvil cylinder.

    High-Precision and Efficient Punching Units

These punching units are especially suited for producing profiles and special punched parts. Constructed with a stable high-precision cast-iron frame and equipped with high-precision bearings. With perfect punching using combined materials (carbide, long-life, HSS, or Super CR), they guarantee long-term operation under maximum stress at working widths up to 1,800 mm and speeds up to 800 m/min. Retrofit to existing production systems is also possible.

  5. Creasing and Embossing
  6. Creasing

Using positive and negative tools, we can create product-specific creases and contours on materials such as cardboard, filter mats, nonwovens, and fuel cells. Our years of experience in the manufacture of creasing and embossing tools confirm the motto: "Creasing is a matter of trust." Inaccurate creasing can impair both the visual impression and technical functionality of the final product. Schobertechnologies’ rotary tools and modules can be used to manufacture products with precise male and female creases, such as: liquid and tobacco packaging, cartons for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, food and frozen food packaging, detergent packaging, filters for rooms, vehicles, labs, blood, coffee, archive folders, and fuel cells.

    Embossing

The embossing modules not only enable high-precision creasing but also allow high-quality cold foil and hot foil stamping in a cost-efficient, material-saving rotary process for high-speed production.

  7. Cut & Place Technology
  8. This processing technology enables the safe and accurate placement of contour-cut materials at fixed or variable intervals on a continuously moving web. It is used in the production of high-quality products for industries such as telecommunications, automotive, hygiene, and pharmaceuticals.

  9. Transfer Technology
  10. Pick & Place (Spider)

Our high-speed automatic robot is called the Spider. The Spider is designed to stack and accumulate already cut products. It is particularly suitable for flimsy or nested products.

  11. Stacking Technology
  12. High-Speed Stacking

With automated packaging technology, pre-cut products such as folding cartons, packaging blanks, die-cut paper, laminates, and paper filters can be reliably separated, counted, and stacked—as long as they are rigid and stable. For flexible products, the use of the Spider is recommended.

  13. Folding Technology
  14. Folding (Ticket Folders)

A system for automatically folding and packaging items such as public parking tickets, event tickets, boarding passes, wallets, and ISO cards.

  15. Winding Technology
  16. Winders

Single winders are used as standard. For narrow and multi-track materials, double rewinders are more suitable. Turret rewinders and non-stop unwinders help improve productivity. Depending on the working width, either fixed or exchangeable winding shafts are used.
